At present the airline completed the fleet expansion process and further development will be focused on fleet renewal and increase of its efficiency», - Transaero noted.

According to the fleet renewal schedule, in 2014 the carrier will take delivery of 3 Boeing 737 jets and 4 Boeing 767s and put 1 Boeing 737, 2 Boeing 767s and 2 Boeing 747s out of operation. By the end of the year the airline’s fleet will comprise 102 aircraft.

«The airline is not going to expand its fleet significantly over the next 4 years. Under agreement with VEB-Leasing the deliveries of А380 jets to Transaero will be started in 2015 (1 aircraft per year). We have also signed an agreement with Sberbank-Leasing for delivery of 12 Boeing 737-800 jets (4 aircraft per year) and we also plan to take delivery of А320NEO. Generally, the carrier didn’t expand its fleet significantly in 2013-2014. Our efforts are focused on efficiency, quality of product, upgrade of aircraft cabins, installation of the latest in-flight entertainment systems and provision of in-flight internet access. We have equipped 29 jets with such system so far», - Deputy CEO – head of Financial Department of Transaero, Evgeny Temyakov.
