NPO Saturn received EASA part 145 approval to provide MRO services for SaM146 engine

The MRO facilities of NPO Saturn received EASA certification on March 6th 2014. The signed certificate confirms that NPO Saturn meets the requirements of EASA part 145 regulations for MRO providers, press-service of NPO Saturn reports.

According to the Quality Director of NPO Saturn, Sergey Antropov, “the EASA part 145 certification is the important milestone for NPO Saturn. Over the period since 2010 NPO Saturn has done a great job certifying the serial production and MRO activities connected with SaM146 engine in accordance with Russian and European regulations. The quality management system of NPO Saturn was certified in Russia (AR IAC and Federal Air Transport Agency) and Europe (EASA). It is a decent demonstration of capabilities of Russian specialists».

According to the Managing Director of NPO Saturn, Ilya Fedorov, «EASA certification will help expand the geography of MRO services for SaM146 engine (powers SSJ100 aircraft). At present NPO Saturn is the first and only Russian company to have a complete set of certified competences in the area of commercial aircraft engines MRO and serial production. This success of NPO Saturn belongs to the whole Russian aircraft industry».
