The world’s largest aircraft - Airbus A380, will join the fleet of Transaero in autumn 2015. The jet will be operating on international routes and possibly it will also be performing flights to Khabarovsk and Vladivostok, CEO of Transaero, Olga Pleshakova, said.
«It is a unique aircraft – the world’s largest one offering the latest technologies. We will complete the development of cabin layout by the end of February. There will be 12 seats in Imperial class, 24 ones – in business class and 612 ones – in economy class. The jet will be able to seat 648 passengers», — she said.
«The first class cabin (Imperial) will be located at the lower deck. Business class will be located on the second floor. Economy class will be located behind the first class and the business class on both decks. The new jet will be performing flights to Bangkok, Phuket, Dominican Republic, Dubai and Barcelona», - Olga Pleshakova added.
«But taking into account the growth rates of passenger traffic on routes to Far East, first of all Khabarovsk and Vladivostok, we are discussing technical procedures required for servicing A380 with the leadership teams of these airports», — Olga Pleshakova explained.
Transaero is the launch customer of Airbus A380 in Russia. The carrier ordered a total of 4 aircraft of the type. The contract between Transaero and Airbus was signed in summer 2012.
