IFC is not negotiating construction of an aviation plant in Peru
Russian Aviaton » Tuesday February 18, 2014 14:03 MSK

Ilyushin Finance & Co. (IFC) denied the information about negotiating construction of an aviation plant in Peru. We remind you that Ukrainian mass media reported earlier that IFC and Antonov State Enterprise are negotiating construction of an aviation plant in Peru intended for production of An-148 jets.

According to the IFC’s statement, "the leasing company in cooperation with Antonov State Enterprise is promoting An-148/158 aircraft in Latin America, in particular – in Cuba. IFC took part in delivery of three An-158 regional jets to Cuba in 2013 and a contract for delivery of three more jets of the type to the country was signed in 2014. Nevertheless, at present IFC is not taking part in negotiations related to construction of the aviation plant in Peru".

According to the IFC’s official representative, the leasing company is interested in expansion of deliveries of An-148/158 aircraft. That is why IFC in cooperation with Antonov State Enterprise, Interstate Aviation Committee and GosNIIGA carried out high-altitude flight tests of An-158 in Ecuador and Bolivia. As a result the supplemental type certificate allowing the carriers to operate An-158 at high-altitude airports was recieved.
