Irkut Corporation (part of United Aircraft Corporation) has summarized its results for 2013. According to the Corporation’s president, Oleg Demchenko, the enterprise has implemented its delivery plan for 2013 in full and on time (this refers to the state order and export contracts), the corporation’s press-service reports.
"Over 30 multi-role Su-30SM fighters and Yak-130 operational trainers have been delivered to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The flying and maintenance personnel of Russian air forces are successfully operating the new vehicles with the assistance of Irkut Corporation. The first batch of cadets trained using Yak-130 jets graduated from the air force academies. Su-30SM fighters have been delivered to Domna air base located in Zabaykalsky Krai", - the press-service noted.
Irkut Corporation has also implemented its delivery plan in the network of Su-30MKI program. Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade named Irkut Corporation the best Russian exporter in “Aircraft industry” category for the fifth straight time. The output of components for Airbus A320 Family aircraft was increased in 2013, the corporation noted.
President of Irkut Corporation said that the serial products are being manufactured in parallel with intense preparation for launch of serial production of MS-21 liners. The elaboration of working design documentation of MS-21’s airframe was completed in 2013. The strength and endurance testing of the jet’s fuselage sections were been started. The MS-21 order backlog increased significantly. New advanced payments were received under signed firm contracts. Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAP), part of Irkut Corporation, started the production of the first four jets. Oleg Demchenko said that the delivery plan for 2013 has been successfully implemented thanks to professionalism and commitment of the corporation’s employees.
