Federal Air Transport Agency has unveiled the statistics on passenger and cargo traffic of Russian airlines over the period of seven months of 2013.
According to this statistics, the passenger turnover of the airlines during the accounting period was 126 253 209,2 thousand passenger-
During the accounting period (January-July 2013) Russian carriers have transported 46 874 381 passengers (+16.3% as compared to the same period of 2012). The scope of transported cargo and mail was 561 515,11 tons (+2.9%). The passenger load factor was 79.4% and the commercial load factor was 66%.
As for the July statistics, the Russian airlines have transported 9 462 895 passengers (+13.3%) and 84 350,98 tons of cargo and mail (+8.6%).
The top-5 carriers by passenger traffic in January-July 2013 are as follows: Aeroflot has transported 11 646 112 passengers (+19,7% as compared to the same period of 2012), Transaero - 6 976 481 passengers (+24.8%), UTair Aviation - 4 685 431 passengers (+9.3%), Siberia - 3 916 067 passengers (+14.7%), Rossiya - 2 515 109 passenger (+5.5%). These five carriers have transported a total of 29 739 200 passengers (+17%) during 7 months, which is equal to 63.4% of the total passenger traffic of the Russian airlines during the accounting period.
The five leading airlines by cargo traffic are: AirBridgeCargo – 234 978,70 tons of cargo and mail (+16.4% compared to the same period of 2012), Aeroflot – 105 656,52 tons of cargo and mail (-1.2%), Transaero 34 834,99 tons of cargo and mail (+4.6%), Volga-Dnepr - 34 718,18 tons of cargo and mail (-12.1%), Siberia 19 807 tons of cargo and mail (-0.4%). The above-mentioned five carriers have transported a total of 429 995,39 tons of cargo and mail (+7%) during 7 months, which is equal to 76.6% of the total cargo traffic of the Russian airlines during the accounting period.
