SAT Airlines and Vladivostok Avia are in the middle of an integration process aimed at establishment of United Far Eastern Airline (or Far Eastern Airline). The new carrier (part of Aeroflot Group) should perform its first flight in the network of winter schedule 2013/2014, press-service of SAT Airlines reports.
"The business plan for the airline has already been elaborated, the route network has been formed taking into account the needs of citizens of all nine Far East regions, the carrier’s corporate identity has been defined and the management team comprising specialists of SAT Airlines and Vladivostok Avia is being formed", - said in the carrier’s statement.
We remind you that Far Eastern Airline is being established on the basis of SAT Airlines and Vladivostok Avia regional carriers (both part of Aeroflot Group since 2011). Integration of the abovementioned carriers means that Far East Region will be able to keep the socially important routes and create new jobs in connection with planned expansion of the airline’s operating activities. The total number of flights will increase from 172 to 534 and the number of destinations – from 30 to 128 ones during the period from 2013 to 2018. The carrier’s passenger traffic will reach about 2,4 million passengers.
The fleet of Vladivostok Avia and SAT Airlines will be optimized. Four Airbus А319s will be delivered to the carrier in 2013 and two A319/320s – in the second quarter of 2014. Thus six Airbus A319/A320 jets with an average age of six years will complement Boeing 737 jets in the new carrier’s medium-haul fleet. The carrier will also take delivery of Q3OO/4OO and DASH-6 “TwinOtter” regional aircraft. It is planned to have a fleet comprising 40 aircraft by 2018, which will satisfy the needs of population of the Far Eastern Federal District.

The new airline will improve the region’s transport accessibility, mobility of its population and create new jobs", - the press-service noted.
