Rosoboronexport will deliver 10 Il-76MD military-transport aircraft to the Chinese air forces, press-service of Rostec State Corporation reports. It was stated by Sergey Kornev, head of Rosoboronexport’s aviation equipment and services department,who heads the delegation of Rosoboronexport at Paris Air Show.

«We have signed a contract for delivery of ten Il-76TD aircraft previously operated by Russian air forces to China and overhaul of some Il-76MD aircraft operated by Chinese air forces. We are performing this contract as scheduled», - Sergey Kornev said.

According to him, the contract for delivery of Il-76 aircraft is the example of prompt decision in “a very complicated situation, when Tashkent Aviation Production Association named after V.P. Chkalov (TAPOiCh) could not continue the serial production of these jets».

Commenting on the possible signing of contract for delivery of MiG-29 fighters to Serbia and Egypt, Sergey Kornev said that Serbia did not initiate any requests. «Assuming that Serbia has a vast experience in operating these jets, the purchase of upgraded MiG-29 fighters makes sense. As for Egypt, we have submitted out offers for consideration by the country’s Ministry of Defense», - he noted.
