The flight testing of the first serial An-158 intended for Cubana de Aviacion has been started, UNIAN reports.

Ilyushin Finance & Co leasing company (Russia) acted as the customer in this deal. The duration of An-158’s maiden flight was 2 hours 20 minutes. The flight test program assumes performing of 10 flights, including 3 predelivery flights and three acceptance flights.

«Cuba is waiting for these jets. According to the carrier, An-158 aircraft will be performing domestic and international flights to Central America and Canada», - Antonov State Enterprise reports. The enterprise also noted that 10 employees (from flying and maintenance personnel) of the Cuban carrier passed the necessary training in October-November 2012.

We remind you that the Deputy General Designer of Antonov, Alexander Keeva, told that Ilyushin Finance & Co and Cubana de Aviacion signed an agreement on delivery of three An-158s with an option on another three jets of the type.
