The output of Ural Boeing Manufacturing will increase by 60%. This figure was specified by the new CEO of the enterprise, Terry Sacks, Uralinformburo reports.
As reported by the press-service of VSMPO-Avisma, the new CEO filled the post in October 2012 succeeding Garry Kessler. According to Terry Sacks, his major objective is increasing the output of Ural Boeing Manufacturing by 60%. It is also planned to improve the standardized processes and make the enterprise profitable.
Ural Boeing Manufacturing is the joint venture established by VSMPO and Boeing in 2009. It is located in Verkhnaya Salda, Sverdlovsk Region. UBM specializes on the primary machining of formed titan parts for Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Boeing 737 aircraft.
Boeing intends to invest about $27 billion in the Russian projects over the next 30 years. About $18 billion will be spent on purchasing the final titan products, $5 billion – on development activities. The rest $4 billion will be spent on purchasing goods and services provided by the Russian aerospace industry.
