The first batch of new Ka-52 “Alligator” combat helicopters has been delivered to the air base of Southern Military District, deployed in Krasnodar Territory, press-service of Russian Ministry of Defense reports.

The first flights of the Ka-52s in the network of combat training program will be performed in March 2013.

The vehicles have been manufactured by Progress Arsenyev Aviation Company (Primorski Krai). After that the non-assembled helicopters have been delivered to Rostov-on-Don and assembled by the specialists of Rostvertol.

The Ministry of Defense reminded that the Ka-52 helicopters have performed their first flights in Rostov-on-Don. After that the vehicles have performed ferry flight to the air base of Southern Military District located in Krasnodar Territory.
