UTair Aviation took delivery of its fourth Airbus A321 aircraft (tail number VP-BPC). The jet was delivered to the carrier from the manufacturer’s enterprise under a contract for delivery of 20 jets of the type. The aircraft will be delivered to UTair during the period from 2013 to 2016, the carrier’s press-service reports.
«According to the contract the А321 aircraft delivered to UTair are powered by CFM56-5B engines and feature a single-class cabin layout seating 220 passengers. All the Airbus aircraft are fitted with ergonomic Pinnacle seats», - the airline noted.
The carrier operates A321 jets on international and domestic routes with high passenger traffic.
The implementation of UTair’s fleet renewal program will continue in 2014 – 22 aircraft will join the carrier’s fleet: 8 Airbus 321s, 6 Sukhoi SuperJet 100s, 8 Boeing 737-800/900 NGs. It is the most significant expansion of the fleet within a year among the Russian carriers, UTair’s press-service noted.
