An-148-100EA aircraft to be delivered to Federal Security Service (FSS) of Russia performed its first flight in Voronezh on November 30th 2013. The jet took off from the airfield of Voronezh Aircraft Manufacturing Company (VASO, part of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC)), Arms Expo reports.
This aircraft (MSN 42-06, tail number RA-61719) was manufactured in accordance with the contract for delivery of two AN-148-100EA jets signed by FSS (represented by troop unit number 55056) and UAC on April 29th 2013. The total value of this contract is 1,432 billion rubles. The second jet should be delivered to the customer by the end of 2014, press-service of VASO noted.
An-148-100EA (MSN 42-06) features a three-class cabin layout; the jet is intended for transportation of high-ranking officials of the FSS (the jet has a VIP-cabin).
This is the 20th An-148 aircraft manufactured by VASO and the fifth jet of the type manufactured in Voronezh in 2013.
