“The company expanded its fleet in 2013, in particular, 8 Airbus A320, 5 Airbus A321, 3 Boeing 737-800 and 4 Boeing 777-300 aircraft were put into service. In November 2013 the passenger turnover of Aeroflot Group increased by 6.4% as compared to November 2012 and reached 6.4 billion passenger-kilometers. Over the period of 11 months of 2013 the Group’s passenger turnover increased by 14.9% as compared to the same period of 2012.

“The passenger load factor of Aeroflot Group decreased in November 2013 to 75.6% (-0.4%) due to outrunning growth of the maximum passenger turnover of its subsidiaries (Orenair and Rossiya)”, - the airline explained.
Moreover, Aeroflot has ceased the operation of its cargo aircraft switching to belly cargo operations. This was the key reason for decrease of the carrier’s cargo traffic in November 2013 (-22.6% as compared to November 2012).
