Aeroflot took delivery of a new Airbus А321 aircraft. The jet was handed over to the carrier at Airbus’ site in Hamburg. The liner was named after Russian theatre and artistic person, Sergey Pavlovich Dyagilev, the carrier’s press-service reports.
"At present the airline’s fleet comprises 90 А319/320/321 aircraft. The average age of these jets is 5 years. All the jets are delivered to Aeroflot directly from the manufacturer’s site. The jets have a two-class cabin configuration seating 116 (А319), 140 and 158 (А320) and 170 (А321) passengers. Aeroflot operates the A320 Family jets on European and domestic flights. The present fleet of Aeroflot includes 143 aircraft (139 of them were delivered to the airline directly from the manufacturer’s enterprises), Aeroflot noted.
