“Moscow” heliport opening ceremony was held on December 11th 2013 at Myakininskaya bottom land. It is the largest helicopter center in Europe able to accommodate up to 200 aircraft.
“Moscow” heliport is the joint project, which is being implemented by NDV Group in cooperation with Aerosoyuz Company with the support of administration of the Moscow Region. Besides the existing runways and aprons, a service center, flight school, four-star hotel, business center, yacht club, etc. will be built at the heliport’s territory (its total area is over 3 ha). The total capitalization of the project will be about €300 million of private investments. The heliport is the first comprehensive helicopter center providing the full range of services in the area: affordable air taxi, sale and leasing of light aircraft, MRO services and pilot training for amateurs. All the facilities of the heliport will be opened in two years. The heliport should pave the way for development of helicopter services in Moscow Region.
According to the founders of the heliport, the helicopter services will become really affordable. According to preliminary assessments, the flight from the heliport to Sheremetyevo airport will take only 15 minutes and will cost about 3000 rubles per person.
The development of helicopter services is one of the top-priority areas, which allows improving the road traffic situation in Moscow Region. It is important both for business, which is interested in increasing the number of private flights and expansion of air taxi services, and for the state aviation in terms of medevac, patrol and other missions.
