Boeing aircraft will be tested at Yakutsk airport in January-February 2014

The low-temperature tests of Boeing aircraft will be carried out in Yakutsk airport in January-February 2014, press-service of Yakutsk airport reports.

«The famous single-aisle Boeing 737 aircraft and the new twin-engine wide-body Boeing 787 Dreamliner jet will undergo low-temperature tests at Yakutsk international airport», - said in the statement.

«Almost all the tests of Boeing 737 are scheduled for the second half of January 2014, while the testing of Boeing 787 Dreamliner should be started in early February. It is expected that the testing will take about 5 business days», - the airport explained.

«20 representatives of the company will arrive in Yakutsk in order to take part in testing of Boeing 737 aircraft. It is worthy of note that over 60 Boeing employees will be involved in testing of Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The Boeing aircraft will be tested in order to obtain the IAC (Interstate Aviation Committee) certificate allowing carriers to operate the jets under conditions of low temperatures», - the press-service added.

«Over the last ten years Yakutsk airport was being used for carrying out the low-temperature tests of different aircraft types, for example, Bombardier Q400, Boeing 747 – 8F,  757, 777, 737, Airbus A319, Sukhoi SuperJet 100, etc.», - the airport noted.
