    Andrey Kalinovsky was appointed President of “Sukhoi Civil Aircraft” Company (SCAC)

    The scheduled meeting of the Board of Directors of SCAC was held on January 28th 2013. Due to expiry of validity of the employment contract the powers of the present President of SCAC, Vladimir Sergeevich Prisyazhnuk, were terminated, press-service of SCAC reports.

    Andrey Kalinovsky was appointed President of “Sukhoi Civil Aircraft” Company (SCAC). He will commence his duties on February 1st2013. V.S. Prisyazhnuk will be employed by Sukhoi Company.

    Moreover, Mikhail Pogosyan – President and Chairman of the Executive Board of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) – was appointed SCAC Chairman of the Board. The new Chairman commences his duties immediately upon his election.

    These new appointments are defined by ambitious targets in the area of increasing the output, expanding the product line and improving the operational advantages of Sukhoi Superjet 100”, - the company explained.

    A.V. Kalinovsky is the former CEO of Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association (named after Chkalov NAPO, Subsidiary of Sukhoi). He was holding that post since July 2007. The technical and technological retrofitting and upgrading of NAPO has been carried out under his guidance in order to establish an advanced production facility meeting the requirements of international standards. The enterprise’s personnel have passed necessary retraining. Kalinovsky was appointed First Vice President, Production, of SCAC and CEO of SCAC Komsomolsk-on-Amur Branch in May 2011.

    The production of SSJ100’s components has been launched in Novosibirsk (Russia) Under Kalinovsky’s guidance, as well as the aircraft assembly line at Komsomolsk-on-Amur plant.
