Rosoboronexport denied the information related to possible deliveries of Tu-22M3 bombers to China, Interfax reports.

Rosoboronexport did not receive and consider any bids of the Chinese party regarding purchase of Russian long-range Tu-22M3 bombers, the official representative of Rosoboronexport, Vyacheslav Davidenko, said.

We remind you that Vzglyad.ru reported yesterday with reference to Business Insider that Russia has agreed to sell 36 Tu-22M3 bombers to China (the total value of these aircraft is about $1,5 billion).

According to the mass-media, after being put into service the bombers would have received “H-10” designation. The aircraft should have been delivered in two batches: 12 jets and 24 ones. China intended to upgrade the bombers in order to increase their operating range. Such an upgrade will make Tu-22M3 a serious threat to many of the advanced weapon systems.
