The state joint testing of Su-35S fighter will be completed in 2015, Lenta.ru reports with reference to a source close to the military-industrial sector.

Following the results of the first stage of the state testing completed in late 2012 a preliminary decision on compliance of Su-35S fighter to the claimed aircraft performance has been issued allowing Sukhoi Company to start the deliveries of Su-35S fighters to Russian air forces.

At present four prototypes are taking part in the state testing. The test program assumes performance of over 1000 flights by the jets. According to the source, the second stage of state testing assumes testing of the fighter equipped with advanced weapons and protection equipment. The large amount of testing is defined by the great number of new systems and equipment installed in Su-35S aircraft.

During the flight testing the maximum flight speed of Su-35S was 1400 km/h (on the deck) and high-altitude speed of 2500 km/h. The fighter’s altitude ceiling is 19 km. It is able to detect targets at the distance of 400 km in “air-to-air” mode. Su-35S has a range of 3400 km and combat radius of 1600 km. It is equipped with 30-mm cannon and has 12 mounting points for missiles and bombs with a total weight of 8 tons.
