The new rating of the world’s 60 safest airlines made by JACDEC (Jet Airliner Crash Data Evaluation Center, Germany) has been published. JACDEC specializes on gathering information about accidents and aviation safety in general. The first such rating was made in 1973. Following the results of 2012 Transaero is placed 16th in the world and 6th – in Europe, the carrier’s press-service reports.

Transaero has come over many leading airlines. The specific feature of this rating is the fact that when several airlines have the same factors of safety the airline with the longest term of service is preferred», - the carrier noted.

Transaero was included in the JACDEC rating for the first time in 2010. Transaero was founded in 1991 and it has not experienced a single accident yet. The flight safety is the carrier’s top priority. The airline has a vast experience in this area. The airline has implemented an effective flight safety management system, the press-service noted.

«Transaero believes that the flight safety is not a subject to the competitive activity. The commitment to the highest level of flight safety unites all the Russian carriers», - the airline noted.

We remind you that Transaero was elected the best airline of Eastern Europe in 2012. It was awarded with World Airline Awards prize by Skytrax. The company also won the prize in the Airline Market Leadership category of ATW Airline Industry Achievement Awards in 2012. “According to the international rating of tourist passenger traffic published by Airline Business in 2012, Transaero comes in sixth by the number of passengers transported to different resorts.
