Tactical Missiles Corporation has launched the serial production of advanced Kh-31PD anti-radar missile, said CEO of the corporation, Boris Obnosov, BFM reports.
Obnosov said that the missile has an extended range. He explained that this missile has a wide band warhead instead of passive radar homing head used on Kh-31P.
He added that new Kh-31AD supersonic anti-ship missile with an extended range is also ready for production.
According to Obnosov, the latest tactical missile will be delivered to the Russian air forces in 2012. He noted that the state testing of medium-range air-to-air missile has been completed and the corporation is ready to export it. «The missile will be put into service this year», — Obnosov said adding that the testing of long- and medium-range missiles is being completed.
Air-launched high-speed Kh-31PD anti-radar missileis intended for engaging radar stations. Its range is 180-250 km.
