Aeroflot Group is among leading European groups of carriers by financial results of 2011, the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

"This fact was confirmed by results of the annual rating published by Airline Business, authoritative international magazine, which specializes on information regarding economic aspects of aviation business. Aeroflot Group has almost doubled its net profit in 2011 ($491 million) and moved into third place in Europe by this indicator", - the airline noted.

In addition, Aeroflot Group is among top-10 European airlines by the revenues. Aeroflot increased this financial indicator to $5.38 billion in 2011 (+24.5%) and moved into 9th place in Europe. Aeroflot Group moved to the 32nd place in the world rating rising by 2 positions as compared to 2010. Aeroflot is the only Russian company among top-50 world carriers by the revenues. Thus, Aeroflot has managed to make the best use of ascending trend characteristic of Russian air services. Airline Business magazine reckons Russia among “European markets outside EU, which demonstrated a strong growth in 2011», - Aeroflot explained.
