Aeroflot acquired 21st Airbus A321 aircraft

Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has acquired the 21st Airbus A321. At present the airline’s fleet includes 79 A319/320/321 Family aircraft (the jets’ average age is 4.6 years), the airline’s press-service reports. AEX.ru

The aircraft has been named after outstanding Soviet weightlifter, two-time Olympic Champion and six-time World Champion, Merited Master of Sports of USSR, Merited Coach of USSR, Vasily Ivanovich Alekseev.

“The jet has been acquired in the network of contract signed in 2007 by Aeroflot and Airbus. All the Airbus jets are delivered to Aeroflot directly from airframer’s site. The cabin of the aircraft has two-class configuration with 116 (A319), 140 (A320) and 170 (A321) seats. Aeroflot is operating A320 family aircraft for European and domestic routes. Aeroflot is among the world leaders by the indicators of operating reliability and actual flight time”, - the airline noted.

Aeroflot also noted that A321 is one of the best medium-haul jets and it meets all the requirements in the area of safety, reliability and comfort.
