European Federation of national associations of leasing companies - LEASEUROPE issued eleventh annual Ranking of Top European Leasing Companies made following the results of 2011. About 1300 companies from 32 countries have taken part in the making of this ranking. They represent 44 associations of Europe’s leasing companies and form 92% of European leasing market. In total, the companies have declared the scope of new business of €224 billion during the LEASEUROPE’s study (61% of the total scope of new business in Europe), press-service of VEB-Leasing reports. VEB-Leasing has shown good results in the ranking made by LEASEUROPE and moved from 17th (2010) to 8th place (2011). It is the best result among Russian companies in the history of the LEASEUROPE’s study. Such a significant strengthening of the company’s position is connected with the strong growth of the scope of new business (increased 2.3 times).
VEB-Leasing comes in first among Russian companies by the scope of new business for the third straight year, keeping the leading positions among the companies of CIS Region, Central and Eastern Europe.
Such a result was achieved due to favorable situation at the Russian leasing market, support of the main shareholder – Vnesheconombank, successful implementation of the company’s strategy assuming development under conditions of keeping the highest quality of lease portfolio, constant work on diversification of lease portfolio and sources of finance.
VEB-Leasing specializes on large infrastructure projects, modernization of existing and creation of new fixed assets in the economy of Russia mostly in the transport segment. The company is one of the key players at the leasing market of railway vehicles, sea and river craft and aircraft for major corporate customers.
VEB-Leasing is also actively working on development of leasing programs for motor transport and equipment for small and medium enterprises. The program was launched in early 2010 and in late 2011 VEB-Leasing has already created the multidivisional regional network including 72 representative offices located in all the large cities of Russian Federation.
