The crash of Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) in Indonesia will not influence the acquisition of six Su-30MK2 fighters by Djakarta in accordance with a contract signed by Rosoboronexport, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Jakarta Post. It was stated by the head of Indonesian parliament’s commission on defense and foreign affairs, Makhfuz Siddik.

The contract on delivery of six Su-30MK2 fighters to Indonesia (the amount of this contract is assessed at $500 million) was signed in December 2011. Russia intends to deliver the first two fighters in 2012.

"The discussion is in progress but I doubt that recent crash of SSJ-100 will influence the future plans, since the fighters were not involved in the accident", - said the head of the Commission on Thursday.

He added that the debates on deliveries of Su-30s are almost over and the representatives of parliament and government have only few requirements to fulfill in order to perform the contract in full.

Sukhoi SuperJet-100 crashed into Salak Mountain at the altitude of 1600 km on May 9th in Indonesia during demonstration flight 60 kilometers to the North-West from Djakarta. According to the local mass-media, the flight was performed under conditions of low cloud cover.

As of the beginning of 2012, Russia has delivered a total of 10 Sukhoi fighters, 10 Мi-35 helicopters, 14 Мi-17s, 17 TMP-3F infantry combat vehicles, 48 BTR-80A armored infantry vehicles and 9000 Ак-102 assault rifles.
