UTair – Ukraine has acquired the first of five new ATR-72-500 aircraft

The new ATR-72-500 (UR-UTH) aircraft of UTair-Ukraine (factory serial number – 994) landed at Kiev Zhuliany International airport on April 25th 23:32 Kiev time. The jet has performed ferry flight from ATR’s site in Toulouse, press-service of UTair-Ukraine reports. AEX.ru

This is the first of five ATR-72-500 aircraft, which will be delivered to UTair-Ukraine in the first half of 2012 in the network of fleet expansion program.

This aircraft will start performing regular flights on route Kiev-Donetsk-Kiev on May 11th 2012.

«The program for acquisition of five ATR-72-500 aircraft by UTair-Ukraine was presented by the CEO of UTair, Andrey Martirosov, in April 2011 in Kiev during solemn ceremony associated with the signing of contract between UTair and ATR on delivery of 20 new ATR-72-500», - the airline explained.

According to this program, UTair-Ukraine is going to put into operation three CRJ-200 aircraft soon.
