Russian airlines have transported more than 13,3 million passengers during the first three months of 2012

Federal Air Transport Agency has unveiled the statistics on passenger and cargo traffic of Russian airlines in January-March 2012. AEX.ru

According to this statistics, the passenger turnover of the airlines during the accounting period was 37 201 584,01  thousand passenger-kilometers, (+ 21,8% as compared to the same period of the last year). The cargo turnover was 1 150 005,99  thousand ton-kilometers (+ 10,2%).

During the accounting period (January-March 2012) Russian carriers have transported 13 378 813 passengers (+20.2% as compared to the same period of 2011). The scope of transported cargo and mail was 224 742,52 tons (+8.9%). The passenger load factor has remained at 74,4% mark and the commercial load factor was 62.3%.
As for the March statistics, the Russian airlines have transported 4 737 529 passengers (+21.6%) and 88 703,95 tons of cargo and mail (+4.2%).

The top-5 carriers by passenger traffic in January-March 2012 are as follows: Aeroflot has transported 3 599 533  passengers (+29,3% as compared to the same period of 2011), Transaero - 1 769 283 passengers (+38%), UTair - 1 596 313 passengers (+68.3%), Sibir’ - 1 160 156  passengers (+14.1%), Rossiya - 723 110  passenger (+23.8%).

The five leading airlines by cargo traffic are: AirBridgeCargo – 84 077,7 tons of cargo and mail (+13.2% compared to the same period of 2011), Aeroflot – 42 195,4  tons of cargo and mail (+25.3%), Volga-Dnepr - 17 984,3 tons of cargo and mail (+14.4%), Transaero – 11 385,7 tons of cargo and mail (+23,9%), Sibir’ – 7 865  tons of cargo and mail (-4,3%).
