    Russian Berkuti helicopter aerobatic team is celebrating its 20th anniversary

    Russian Berkuti helicopter aerobatic team, the carte-de-visite of Russian helicopter industry, is celebrating its 20th anniversary, press-service of Russian Helicopters reports.

    "Berkuti helicopter aerobatic team of Torzhok aviation center is one of few helicopter teams in the world, which demonstrate the maneuvers of high and medium complexity in vertical and horizontal planes at the extremely low altitudes", - the company noted.

    Russian Helicopters Holding Company, one of the global leading developers and manufacturers of helicopters, including a number of the most popular and wide-spread models, congratulates Berkuti helicopter aerobatic team with its 20th anniversary. "This is the team that performed stunts on famous combat Mi-24s at airshows and exhibitions in Zhukovsky; exactly these helicopters have been participating in the solemn military parades at the Red Square. The honored pilots are celebrating this anniversary with new vehicles - Мi-28N «Night hunter» (which have been officially put into operation as the basic attack helicopter in accordance with the instruction of President of Russian Federation from October 15th 2009) and Ka-52 “Alligator” all-weather combat helicopters, which are being delivered by the Holding’s enterprises in accordance with the State defense order", - said in the statement of Russian Helicopters.

    On the occasion of the anniversary the pilotage has been demonstrated by new light multi-role Ansat-U and Ka-226 helicopters (made by Russian Helicopters Holding Company) along with the world’s most load lifting Мi-26 and famous Мi-8 helicopters – the fleet of training, multi-role and military-transport vehicles is being gradually renewed.

    In addition, a memorial sign was laid in the foundation of future Monument dedicated to the helicopter pilots, who have died performing their military duty.
