President of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Mikhail Pogosyan, believes that Russian civil aircraft have good prospects at the market of South-East Asia, ITAR-TASS reports.
Pogosyan noted that the experience of cooperation in the area of military aircraft should be transferred to the civil sphere. In this regard he noted that Sukhoi Superjet and МS-21 aircraft have good prospects. "Taking into account the size of Asian market, the companies should create joint ventures, service centers and develop infrastructure here if they want to win", - president of UAC said.
"We already have orders from Laos, Indonesia. The positions in Vietnam are very good. India is our traditional partner, - Pogosyan continued. – There are also prospects for deliveries of aircraft to China". According to Pogosyan, the Asian market demand for Sukhoi Superjet aircraft is 150 vehicles.
President of UAC has also noted that the recent acquisition of EASA certificate for Sukhoi Superjet creates good possibilities for promotion of the aircraft at the global market.
