The state testing of fifth-generation T-50 (PAK FA) fighter is scheduled for March 2013, Lenta.ru reports with reference to the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian air forces, Lieutenant General Viktor Bondarev.

According to him, eight prototypes will be taking part in the testing. "PAK FA is successfully performing flights, three prototypes are being tested in Zhukovsky and one more prototype is undergoing tests at the manufacturer’s site. The acceptance of the fifth prototype is underway", - Viktor Bondarev said.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Russian air forces added that all the PAK FA prototypes will be moved to the State Proving Flying Center named after Chkalov (Astrakhan Region) in March 2013 in order to take part in the state testing. The fighter’s serial production should be launched in 2015.

The weapon systems developed for PAK FA have already been tested onboard of test-bed aircraft. CEO of Tactical Missiles Corporation, Boris Obnosov, said in November 2012 that the flight testing of PAK FA with missile launching will be started “in the nearest future”.
