Tupolev: The testing of new passenger Tu-204SM is successful so far

The certification testing on noise footprint evaluation of new passenger Tu-204SM liner is successful so far. The testing is being carried out in accordance with procedures of EASA, Tupolev reports. AEX.ru

The preliminary analysis of obtained data shows that the actual data is congruent with the calculated one. It has been reported by the Tupolev certification director, B.S. Maloy.

According to him, at present the jet is undergoing a special certification testing program on noise footprint evaluation. The program has been approved by the Aviation Registry of Interstate Aviation Committee. Maloy has noted that “the testing is not regular; it is hard and far from obvious ones. Acoustic parameters are measured in different atmosphere slices, taking into account temperature and humidity.

The testing of jet’s hydraulic systems under the pressure of 315 atmospheres (1.5 times higher than the operational one) has also been carried out in the network of certification testing program.

Tu-204SM is the indigenous passenger liner made by Tupolev design bureau. State-of-the-art developments of Russian aircraft industry have been implemented during creation of the jet. At present it is undergoing certification testing. The serial production is planned on 2012.
