Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) manufacturer serial number 95008 performed “premier” flight in Aeroflot colours.
The airplane, destined for the Russian flag carrier, flew on the last day of January. It carries the name of Mikhail Vodopyanov, a legendary Soviet pilot. The airplane flew from the Dzemgi aerodrome of the Komsomolsk-upon-Amur aircraft manufacturing plant, Russian acronym KnAAPO with Sukhoi test pilots Vadim Shirokikh and Leonid Cherkunov at the controls. The crew checked onboard systems and airplane performance on typical regimes.
In 2011 the manufacturer plans to produce a handful of the deliverable SSJ100s for ArmAvia and Aeroflot.
