The construction of Vostochny Cosmodrome in Amur Region will cost Russia 300 billion rubles, ARMS-TASS reports with reference to the director of Federal Special Construction Agency, Grigory Naginsky.
"The hotels and barracks are being constructed within the infrastructure of Vostochny Cosmodrome”, - he said. «We are using old housing stock formed by 6 barracks. The first barrack will be converted into hotel for employees and visitors of the future cosmodrome. The second one will be intended for servicemen», - Grigory Naginsky added. He has assessed these construction works at 15-20 billion rubles.
Speaking of housing development plans, he noted that a town for 40 thousand people will be constructed in the network of Vostochny Cosmodrome. Its development will be carried out next year. "We hope to build the town by 2015", - said Naginsky.
He has also reminded that according to the plans of Federal Space Agency, the first rocket will be launched from the cosmodrome in 2015 and the first manned shot should take place in 2018. Vladimir Putin has ordered to speed up the finalizing of cosmodrome’s concept and program on January 25th. He reminded that 24.5 billion rubles have been allocated from the Federal budget on 2011-2013 for implementation of this project. About 57 billion rubles will be allocated in 2014-2015.
